CPD is a requirement when renewing your licence each year

Complete 2023 CPD

You must complete CPD before renewing your licence for 2024/2025.

To renew your licence in 2024, you must have either:

Attended one of our roadshows that ran between April and August 2023; or
Completed the online 2023 CPD course (available through your Trade Login).

2024 CPD

2024 CPD Roadshows have now finished. If you didn't attend a roadshow, you will need to complete CPD online to fulfil your CPD requirement for the 1 April 2025 - 31 March 2026 licensing year.

The online CPD module will be available later in the year. The Board will be in touch when it is available.

What is CPD?

Continuing professional development (CPD) is the means by which registered people (i.e. Journeyman, Tradesman and Certifying) maintain their knowledge and skills related to their trade.

By maintaining and improving the competence of registered tradespeople, CPD is a valuable tool that assists the Board with their commitment to protect the health and safety of the public.

Do I have to do CPD?

If you are a registered person (i.e. Journeyman, Tradesman or Certifying), completing CPD is a mandatory condition to relicense each year.

It is likely that a new licence will not be issued to you if you have not completed your annual CPD training.
